This is the watch the Alfaro boys wore while each one spoke about their Dad - youngest to oldest they told wonderful, funny stories about Hugh Alfaro. After each brother spoke he would pass the watch to the next brother in line, five in all. Josh used a series of words to describe his Dad - supportive, ticklish, spiritual - it was moving and funny, he did an amazing job paying tribute to his Dad. Joe, Tom, Jon and Mike followed. It was the most personal and fun, yes fun! memorial service. I laughed so much hearing the stories told by the brothers. Hugh would have loved it. The church was filled with teachers and administrators of Clovis Unified, family, friends...so many of our friends. We were loved and carried by our dear friends and family during this time, thank you. This was the first time in over two years all of the Alfaro brothers were together. Losing a loved one brings a family closer together and closer to God.
Last night Jett went up to a photo of Hugh and said "Papa!". He then kissed it.
