In times of suffering God has our undivided attention. Isn't that true? Everything stops, your priorities change, you regain your eternal perspective and you fall on your knees in prayer. Yesterday our lives forever changed as Josh's Dad, Hugh Alfaro, passed away Friday night in his sleep. He was almost 80 years old. This was unexpected and we were not ready to say good bye, but who ever is? My heart hurts for my husband, my dear mother-in-law, my brother Joe, for Jett...for me.When Josh and I were first married Hugh took and pencil attached to a string and held it over my wrist to predict how many kids we would have and if they would be boys or girls! He swore by this trick and use to do it for his High School students...
When you poked Hugh's side he would squeal. Josh would poke him at random times, to get a squeal and make everyone laugh...
Papa Hugh would hold Jett whenever he drank his bottle...these are the memories that are floating through my mind. I'm grateful for them and fell a strong desire to cherish my loved ones.

Hugh was very supportive of Josh and never missed a sporting event. They shared a loved for skiing and football.
